One Mom's Story: Randi and Baby Marilyn

Randi has a story that all of us with refluxy or colicky babies can sympathize with, while those who haven't had the "joy" of experiencing either symptom can only keep hoping they never have to! Randi tell us her experience, in her own words, on how Colic Calm came to her rescue, and made her family a happy one, once again. From Randi: Marilyn is my second child, she is 6 months old. I had first heard about Colic Calm when I walked into a CVS about a month ago (she was 5 months) trying to find something to help my baby out with her gas and reflux. Marilyn was on Prevacid and I had ultra-sounds done of her stomach to make sure she didn't have a problem with the bottom of her esophagus (I thought it may

have been under developed). I started giving the Colic Calm to her right after she had nursed in the morning and in the evening time before she had her dinner. She was eating baby food, it would help her feel more content as she ate. Marilyn is now 6 months old and she is a very happy baby. I could never get her on a sleep schedule, but now she is taking two naps a day and sleeping A LOT better at night. Before Colic Calm, whenever I would finally get her to sleep she would only stay asleep for 10 to 15 minutes and then cry for at least an hour because she was tired and couldn't find any comfort. She would always want me to hold her, which was really hard on me because I have a 5 year old daughter (Aurora Hailey) who wouldn't be able to have any of my attention. At night, Marilyn only slept from 10:30pm to 2:30am then she would be back up at 5:30am. When it came to sleep time, she would fight tooth and nail--she didn't want to be put down. I was a zombie. I was so unhappy throughout the day, I feel bad for the people around me. Marilyn's crying and lack of sleep was also taking a toll on my relationship with my husband. He works a lot to be able to provide for us, and with myself being tired and Aurora being lonely, he came home to a messy house and three girls who needed a shoulder to cry on. Aurora started saying I didn't love her anymore because I had to spend so much time with Marilyn. Life was a mess. With Colic Calm things have gotten a lot better. I am able to set Marilyn down to play with her toys, while I get the house clean, cook dinner, and get my oldest ready for the day. Marilyn is just a happier child--I even got to Trick or Treat with my husband and my oldest daughter on Halloween while my sister-in-law babysat the baby.
