One Mom's Story: Danielle and Baby John

One Mom's Story: Danielle and Baby John

First time mother, Danielle, had a rough start when she brought John home from the hospital. He was difficult, always crying, and very gassy with reflux.  Danielle searched online for some answers on what could help her baby, and up popped Colic Calm. She bought it without hesitating, and has never looked back since. This is her story. From Danielle: "John was a very difficult newborn. He couldn't sleep laying down so I would be up all night holding him over my shoulder. He cried all day long--if he wasn't crying he was spitting up. He was diagnosed with infant reflux at 3 weeks old. Zantac helped some, but not enough. The gas was so bad he would scream and arch his body. We were exhausted I spent all day trying to calm him. I would get to a point that I felt helpless for my poor baby. We found that he was most comfortable in his bouncy seat so that's where he slept at night. Sometimes I would cry with him. He also had a hard time eating. While most babies eat 4 to 5 ounces every 3 hours John only would eat 2 to 3 ounces every 3 hours and those 3 little ounces would be a fight. He never finished bottles and getting him to burp afterwards was very difficult. But, if he didn't burp the gas would be excruciating for him.

[When John was] 4 months old I switched pediatricians and they figured out he was allergic to soy and milk and that's what was causing his reflux and gas. I had showed the pediatrician the Colic Calm and told them that it was a little miracle in a bottle. I was so grateful to have found Colic Calm when he was 2 months. He would take it and within a half hour he would fall asleep from the relief. Now if he is having a problem he knows the bottle and when he sees it he crawls over, opens his mouth and takes it no problem. He knows that's what makes him feel better." Though John was on Zantac (first) and later Prevacid, Danielle would still administer the Colic Calm in order to provide relief. She would administer Colic Calm when ever "he would start crying uncontrollably. So probably a treatment in the morning and a treatment at night." However, it would all depend on how bad John was doing, sometimes he would need all 3 doses in an hour and a half, while other times one dose would do it. At the time of this interview, John was 11 months old, and on occasion he would still get Colic Calm. Luckily, he seems to be outgrowing his reflux and gas problems, so everyone in Danielle's family is doing better! Are you a Colic Calm user and would like to share your story?
