One Mom's Story: Leeandra and Baby Mila

One Mom's Story: Leeandra and Baby Mila

Leeandra was no newbie when it came to infants. A mom to three, she knew her way around a newborn’s crying and was not surprised that she wasn’t getting any sleep. But when her youngest, Mila, started throwing up her bottle at two months of age, she knew things were off.  Leeandra says, “About a week before turning two months old she [Mila] started vomiting her formula and refusing to drink her bottles. This was very unsettling to me because before this she was eating just fine. It got to the point to where I could only get her to drink maybe a couple of drops of each bottle. She would suck on it for a while and then start screaming and crying like she was in pain. She would only drink a 4oz bottle when she was sleeping—nap time or bed time—which would be maybe two 4oz bottles of formula in a 24 hour period.” Scary stuff. Leeandra took Mila in to the pediatrician, who

recommended Mila going to see a GI specialist. Leeandra made the appointment. As she waited for the day Mila was to see the GI specialist, Leeandra says that, “Mìla would cry and cry for hours at a time. It seemed like nothing I tried would help. I would spend hours rocking her trying to get her to sleep at night or day (nights being the worst). And as soon as I would set her down, she would start screaming again. I was exhausted and on the verge of a break down. I have a 1 year old too, so I would get no break. My son would just give me sad, confused looks as if he just wanted all the crying to go away.” Things were so bad, that Leeandra started doing some research on what could help Mila. Leeandra says, “I actually stumbled across the [Colic Calm] website while surfing the net one day. I was reading different mother’s stories of how their little ones had reflux. The mothers would go into detail about what medications they were on. After searching one of the medications, I came across the Colic Calm website.” Leeandra goes on to say, “. . . I read on the bottom that it was sold at CVS Pharmacy. I hurried off to the nearest one not realizing that it was 12AM and that the drive through was closed.  I walked in with my jammies and slippers on and purchased it.” And did it work? Leeandra continues her story, “I came home [from CVS] to my crying baby and tired husband and gave Mila her first dose . . . Zzzzzzzz. Sigh. RELIEF!!! My precious angel was now asleep. Her first night with Colic Calm she slept 5 hours straight and chugged a 4 oz bottle with no problem—no spit up and no hard belly full of gas.” At interview time, Mila was three months old and still taking Colic Calm. Leeandra gives her “. . . one dose at around 7AM and than another at 6PM. Depending on how gassy she is, some days I might have to give her a third dose at around 11PM. I give it to her right before her feeding so she can eat comfortably.” And that GI appointment? Leeandra says that by the day of her appointment, “I had already found and purchased the Colic Calm and noticed results (relief, joy, sleep) within two days.” Leeandra finishes her interview by saying, “I love Colic Calm and it does wonders for my daughter.” We’re so glad to hear that Leeandra!
